G24 pcn

Ive been looking through threads but thought I'd ask you guys just incase anythings changed lately.
Ive received a PCN from G24 this morning for overstaying 16 minutes.I knew you didn't have to pay these but just thought I'd double check that anythings changed.
Do you have to pay these now?
It says the fine is £100 but will be reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
It was me driving and I can remember I was rushing to get back,i never intentionally overstay it was just so busy that day.It 's one of those car parks with no meters you just get 90 mins.
Thanks for your help

Don't worry about G24 - they are harmless. Just send the following email and they will cancel it ( used at least 10 times successfully to my knowledge ) :

    Dear G24,

This is an appeal against the charge issued to the vehicle with the registration XXXXXX, charge reference XXXX.

It is the registered keepers assertion that :

    1. The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
    2. The signage does not conform to the BPA CoP to which G24 has committed.
    3. G24 has no authority to issue charges over the land in question.

As such the charge is rejected. You should now either cancel said charge or provide a POPLA code for the registered keeper to appeal to the independent adjudicator.

Any further correspondence other than confirmation of cancellation or a POPLA code will be considered harassment and could result in legal action being taken against you.

    Yours,

    Print name ( don't sign ).

    Just a little tip Diane,
Take you letter to the post office and get a free proof of posting - do NOT use signed for or registered - they often refuse to sign for them

If they don't cancel it ( which they will ) I will write your POPLA appeal for you if you like.

If you haven't already, start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

I was concerned you may have thought the current advice was to ignore these, which it is not. I would stick with the tried and tested wording for the simple 2 stage appeal. At POPLA stage we win every time, 100% record, so follow our advice and you'll be fine, just like all these newbies were:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4911394

Hot Bring's version of the appeal is just as good as the one in the NEWBIES thread though and G24 do tend to cancel when they see either version!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Well done :T:T:T:T

Come on G24 - losing count how much I've lost you now :D Ring me, let's discuss these overdue court papers. I guessing all G24 employees are much like Adrian King, arrogant vile cowardly bullying scumbags :p

Hope your Easter Eggs melt Adrian
