Using a correspondence address

A friend of mine studies and lives away from home (at University) during term. His car is registered at his home address (non-term address). He recently received a PCN from ParkingEye which his Mum forwarded up to him. He's going to appeal it but his parents are going away for a month or so and he's worried that he'll miss the appeal rejection documentation (and going home is about a 600 mile round trip).
If he puts a correspondence address in his appeal are ParkingEye likely to use it? Deep down I think I know the answer will be no as they will probably do anything they can to make things as inconvenient as possible. Has anyone ever told ParkingEye or any other PPC to correspond with them at a different address and did it work?

two choices here , he can appeal as the registered owner and correspondence will continue to his parents , or appeal as the driver from a new address , however to do the second option, he will have to appeal as the owner (from his parents address) discharging his liabilities , if they write back , they are in the wrong.0

Yeah that's the problem, he's saying he ignored a windscreen ticket so he can't name the driver. Also, he is the registered keeper so wouldn't be able to name himself as the driver (unless it was just a coincidence that the driver and the registered keeper have the same name).0

Why not write to PE as the RK naming his brother as the driver who happens to live at his term time residence ? So say the RK's name is John Smith just name his brother as Bob Smith. How are PE or POPLA to know ?"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0

parking eye , windscreen ticket?
what are the date implications0 -
Thanks Hot Bring, that's an idea. He just didn't want to lie (I've told him that the PPC's lie so what's good for the goose).0

I know, I didn't think ParkingEye were big on windscreen tickets, but he's adamant that he had one and binned it.
The notice to keeper was dated quite a while after the event (30 days if I remember - this was a conversation in the pub last night so I need to get back to him on the detail), which supports his windscreen ticket theory.0 -

I don't usually suggest lying but Parking Eye are as corrupt as they come so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
EDIT - or if the RK has a middle name then just use that. So if the RK is called John Edward Smith just name the driver as Edward Smith at his term time address - no lying involved."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
The problem is that if he gives a new address is that if he is only there a till the end of term, they will carry on writing there, if they pretend as they often do that they received no appeal there is a chance they will write there, if the mail is returned they will go for a claim IMO .
I know they can't deny they received the appeal if they are chasing you there, but they are lying, cheating vermin who will do anything to get money off you. If it was me I would just send in the appeal from the address the car is registered at. Wait until the last 3 days of doing an appeal then sent it in via their online systems and by snail mail with proof of postage. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
