Afternoon all,
Lovely to hear from you a Jackie, let your family look after you, you deserve it x
Molly hope your recovery is going well.
Hester, stories like that make me shudder.sorry to hear your bad news, sending lots of positive healing vibes.
I'm tired now. After cleaning the house, through this morning, ended up dashing DGS to the dentist, poor little mite had to have a small filling. The rest of his teeth are beautiful just one of those things, he was feeling so sorry for himself. Anyway he's gone off with his mum to her fellas and then tomorrow he goes off to Canada for a week with his daddy, then back for the second week of the hols with his mum.
She is planning to move in with her chap in August when his lease is up on his apartment. They are looking for something three bedroom with a garden near DGS school. We will miss them but I've got a good feeling about this lad. He's lovely, a big gentle giant and really good with DGS, fingers crossed things work out for them.
We have friends coming for dinner so I've made a Thai green chicken curry and a chocolate fridge cake from the WW mag made with dried fruits biscuit and golden syrup. It has grated dark chocolate on top and the bit on my finger tasted lovely.
So I'm now collapsed on the couch otherwise I will be fit for nothing tonight, my leg is aching like the devil.
Hubby has almost finished panelling the bathroom, I will be glad when it's all finished. We are friends now, I've forgiven him just this once and he is very sheepish :rotfl:
Off for a surf, have a good Saturday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Lovely to hear that you are home JackieO :T just behave yourself and do as you are told and you will heal quickly.
I am glad that your DD's are looking after you, it is really strange when they start acting like they are your parent and not your children :rotfl::rotfl:
Healing vibes heading your way xxx
Molly I hope that you are a little better today and will be home soon xxx
Grey and windy here today and the wind is really bitter, even DH complained that it was cold and he never does that.
He had to go into work this morning and finish off some jobs, but now he has a week off :j
We went to town this afternoon and met up with Dniece and her two littlies and we gave them a lift home, better than her forking out for a taxi which would have cost her £5 for a journey of less than a mile
Dinner tonight is HM pizza
DH is going swimming at 6pm so I need to dish up at 5pm. I can't have my meals late so we will eat before he goes rather than when he gets home.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Good to hear from you Jackie, sorry it has been a bit hairy. Just hang on to the thought that you will have a lovely pert bosom when everything has been done.
You are obviously being well looked after and with the boys being on holiday now I am sure they will make sure you don't do anything you shouldn't.
Take care
Much love

Hester I did leave a message on your blog, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am with regard to your MIL.
Doctors should realise that we know our own bodies better than anyone, and clearly your MIL knew there was something wrong.
Sending gentle hugs to you and her, you seem to have so much going on at the moment.
Much love

JackieO lovely to hear from you; sorry to hear there was a bit of drama involved, but at least you're through the worst now. Make sure you do as you're told - don't make me have to high-tail it down to Kent to sort you out!;) Healing vibes coming your way; and loads for Molly too.:o
Hester I'm sorry to hear of the appalling treatment your MiL has had; sadly, we seem to be hearing of more and more of this type of thing.
Nowhere near as bad, but I'm pretty disgusted with the way I've been treated (or rather NOT). I was originally told that, as I have lupus, I'd be seen at the hospital 6-monthly indefinitely, alternating between the Consultant and a specialist rheumatology nurse; then that stretched out to yearly; and they also did away with the specialist nurse (she retired and wasn't replaced, as far as I understand); then, two (or was it three? I'm useless with passage of time) years ago, the Consultant told me there was nothing further she could offer me, it was a waste of her time seeing me, I could just see the GP, and to - and I quote her exact words here- "just go away and live with it". So ever since then I've been on repeat scripts from the GP, with my symptoms worsening as time goes on, as well as new ones appearing, and not getting any specialist help at all.:( And to cap it all, my usual GP is on maternity leave, and they have a whole bunch of locums and trainees at the surgery. *rolls eyes*
Sorry, that was a bit of a whinge - tbh I'm still not feeling at all good; not helped by being a couple of hours late taking my meds this morning - I simply forgot - brainfog is one of the problems I have - and I didn't hear the phone alarm for some reason.
No matter; the Princesses' needs have been attended to, which is the most important thing.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
JackieO - it's lovely to see you posting. You rest up and get all the TLC that you need x

Distant hugs to you LW, sometimes the young locums and 'newbies' know far more about the latest treatments/conditions than so called more experienced doctors.
A case in question, friends we went to visit last night, the chap lost loads of weight, had tingly fingers and no energy. His usual doctor was clueless but a newly qualified locum recognised the symptoms of Polymyalgia and he is tons better with the right medication.
It is sad that you have been let down by your gp, I really don't believe that anyone should have to suffer in this day and age.
Anyway, sorry about thatl, got a bit carried away! XX0
