Hester I can sympathise. I told my GP for two years that I had Cushings Syndrome and he didn't believe me. When they found the cancer and removed it all the Cushings symptoms disappeared, but I had a lot of surgery that if it had been dealt with two years before wouldn't have been so drastic.
My GP has now retired. I did think about suing him, but I couldn't take the stress.
Love to your MILI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all,
Can't say I am surprised by you and your relatives experiences with the GPs, I am sorry to say I have very little faith in them.
Hope JackieO is Ok.
Bright here again, which is nice, been to Aldi and was surprised how busy it was. Off to the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford a bit later to meet DS1 for a catch up and most likely lunch
. DH is off to football quite near to it which saves me the train fare.
Got the caravan washed and cleaned inside and out ready to be used this year. Treated ourselves to a cream tea afterwards
Have a good Saturday0 -
Good morning everyone
I thought I had posted earlier but either I am losing the plot or MSE is losing my posts!
DD is struggling at the moment so am off to take her for some shopping and DH will look after DGD, while we go and have a chat and try and sort some stuff out.
HH - that is terrible about your MIL but sadly yours and hilstep's story are all too common. I was misdiagnosed by my GP and received treatment for severe psoriasis for several years before it was eventually identified as skin cancer which is prevalent in my genetic syndrome, previously unknown to me. The treatment by the GP had actually seriously exacerbated my condition and my consultant suggested I sued the GP, by then I was having surgery once a fortnight and like hilstep, I couldn't take the additional stress.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hello chums I am back on my feet again, albeit a bit wobbly
:) The op. went well but had a few problems afterwards. They let me home on Tuesday afternoon, but was blue-lighted back in the evening .Apparently the Morphine I was given I have an allergy to, and it made me pretty poorly for awhile.I was allowed out again last night and managed to get to my youngest Dds where I am being waited on hand, foot and finger as the boys and Dd won't let me do a thing.I can't drive for at least 6 weeks and housework or anything that involves picking up more than a cuppa is off the menu.I know I will be a PITA as I am a rotten patient, but I'll have to do as I'm told or I will be back inside again. My front torso is a beautiful shade of black, blue ,purple and various shades in-between and moving is a bit painful.I daren't sneeze as my insides are full of internal stitches .But apart from that I am pleased and now have a very small bosom on one side that seems to be getting bigger daily
:):) I have my next op. in June probably when the expander thing is put in, but the worst op has been done now so I just have to get better and behave. No pole dancing or dancing the night away
:):)
I may be off-line for awhile as the computer in Dd's house gets lots of calls on it from four boys DD and son-in-law,but fear not I am around somewhere. Thanks for all your good wishes and hopefully I will get back to my own house to stay some point late next week.DD is keeping a stern eye on me as she knows what I am like .She's even hidden my car keys:):)
Anyhow cheers folks I'm still alive and kicking if a bit battered and bruised
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Sorry to hear you had a bit of a rough time JackieO but hopefully everything will go to plan for you from now on. Make sure you do as you are told and enjoy all the pampering from your family, I'm sure they are glad to be able to return all the love and attention you give out so generously.
Take care of yourself, and rest, hopefully the sun will shine and you can sit in your garden and enjoy.

Great to hear from you JackieO though sorry you had a rough time. All's well that ends well. Keep those feet up and enjoy the pampering whilst it lasts.
Just using my new induction hob for the first time, bit strange cos it beeps at me, hate machines which beep at me. My car does it too...

Lovely to hear from you JackieO. Hope the soreness eases soon. We've heard from Jackie, we have heard from Molly. :THH - that is terrible about your MIL but sadly yours and hilstep's story are all too common. My daughter was diagnosed as having a collapsed lung on day 10 after her birth..... only to find out when she was admitted to hospital she had congenital heart defects. Of which she never recovered from. I like to think that after 30+ years, misdiagnosis is a thing of the past.... however, maybe not.
Hester, I hope that if it is cancer your MIL has, its been caught early.
Back home from shopping. Ive walked me legs off and I ache. 'Youngest' has done the vacuuming downstairs for me. I had to ask him to of course but he didn't moan. I just heard the sharp intake of breath from in his room. That lad of mine has it easy... if only he knew it.
