if you are only entitled to income related ESA then being in the support group wont make a difference .
if your partner works more than 24 hours you would not receive any benefit and only £20 is disregarded if they work less than 24 hours.
if you are applying for conts based ESA and put in the support group then the 365 day rule does not apply.
but if youre applyoing because of pregnancy complications then it wouldnt apply to you anyway as you wont be pregnant for more than a year ( unless youre an elephant ;) )

I'd be entitled via my employer but they want to terminate my contract as I've not yet passed my probationary period and I can't go back until after my baby is born. I'm going into hospital. Not much I can do so I was going to claim esa.

Can't offer any advice on the ESA stuff, but just wanted to wish you all the best in having a healthy and happy pregnancy having just read your 'signature' ! :D

    :) thank you!

I'm hoping to go back to a job part time after I've had my baby. I'll claim contribution based, I think I should be entitled anyway and then in October I'll get maternity allowance, I think that will be instead of esa?

I'll be having a small op, in for a few days but I'll be on bed rest afterwards through most of my pregnancy.
