Hireco 'traffic violation' invoice.

Had a hire car, double dipped an ANPR car park and in addition to ppc's bit of toilet paper in the post, I got a £30 'traffic violation' invoice from hireco [for them releasing my data to ppc].
Taking the PPC to POPLA......should be fun.
Sent hireco an LBA and will be taking them to cc to get my £30 back [they took it on cc that I used to hire co...just had a thought as I type, maybe I can do a chargeback on cc]. Should be even more fun.
Will keep you informed.

This should be interesting to follow.0

That's why I posted it......makes a slight change from the daily 30 identical 'I got a PCN fine and can't be ar54d to read the sticky, what do I do'.0

Were the hire co T&Cs the typical ones relating to Fines?
Did you mention the BVRLA guidance in your LBA? (Are this hire co BVRLA members?)0 -

Yes, typical t and c's
yes they are members.
What BVRLA Guidance??? I emailed the BVRLA the background [whilst asking about their ADR] and they emailed back saying they would actually support their member in making the charge....so if they have guidance saying different I'd love to see it.
[At the time I did think that I had heard somewhere that the BVRLA had issued some sort of guidance but I thought it was advice to fleet mgrs.....]
Love to see anything that people have...0 -
The bvrla are exactly the same as the bpa, just a trade body protecting the interests of their members, they support the scam of hire companies charging outrageous fees for sending a letter, and supporting these hire scammers because if they don't they go down the pan like the bpa would. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yet another illustration, if one was needed, that so-called "representative bodies" play solely according to their own and their member's agenda. Why isn't there a representative body for the man in the street that could stand up for his rights?
Oh, hang on, there is. Its called Parliament. And there they were gone...My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
