O2 contract ending. When to move

My contract with O2 officially ends on 8th June. But I can upgrade one month earlier for no fee.

I am wanting to move to EE.

Do I ring O2 for PAC code on 8th May and give 30 days notice then? Could I move on same day (8th may) since I don't actually owe anything or do I need to wait till June ? If I bought through phones for you and they pay remaining amount off (if any) would I be charged from O2. ?

Thanks

Yes, although it's either a notice or PAC.

You can move at any time, but all remaining time until the 8th of June has to be paid off. Why do you think that you don't owe anything? Because you can upgrade early? Moving to EE isn't upgrading.

I think they pay you, not to O2. Why not wait for a month and get a discount/cashback instead (i.e. save money)?
  • That's true. Thanks for that. Think I'll leave it then until 8th May and ring up to give the notice period and get PAC code.

Not sure on the cash back front is that bought via Internet? If so can you then ring EE and get number ported across. ?
