It depends on the standard of hotel.
I'd say £190 is not bad, but you should be able to get a little bit cheaper with one of the budget chains.
In my experience, Saturdays are always pretty expensive (say £80+ ) but Sundays are the cheapest days (you can get under £40 for Travelodge Sale rates)0

<Edit> I've just had a look at Travelodge prices for November and you can't get much better than £190 for central locations, depending on the exact weekend.
For three nights starting 15/11, for example, the best price I could spot was the Farringdon one at £67+£43+49 = £159 - I've never stayed there so can't comment on the location or quality.0

As was said, depends on what you're looking for. It's Cheap for Hilton standard, expensive for a simple B&B with a shared bathroom miles out of town.
Where do you need or want to stay? What standard of accommodation do you seek?0

Thanks for your help much appreciated
It is for a Travelodge city road it is for the 22rd November for +3 nights gf 21st birthday ( I know it is not the classiest joint but its either more nights or a posher one for less nights)
Is there anywhere better for the price central location don't mind a little more if I maybe got meals included etc?
Also Am I best waiting bit longer to get cheaper prices or is it best to book now?0

The Travleodge at Marylebone is a bit cheaper at £147 for the 3 nights you want. It looks like it has had a recent refurb.
It is a good location next door to the tube/train station and you have night buses than run to the train station.
10 mins walk to Baker Street if you are into "Sherlock" or want to visit Madam Tussuads. Also a Wetherspoons pub there for cheap breakfasts, meals and drinks.

15 minutes walk to Marble Arch if you want to visit the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park which opens on 21st November (make sure you book things like outdoor ice skating in advance. It is free entry, but the rides and food etc are expensive, but it does look lovely when lit up at night). You have the Oxford street shops by there and they should have the Christmas light and window displays up.

Covent Garden is less than 10 minutes of a tube journey from Marylebone involving one change (street entertianers, M&M world shop, theatres).
Waterloo for the London Eye, House of Parliament Big Ben etc is 10 min direct journey on the bakerloo line from Marylebone.
15 mins involving one change at Piccadilly Circus from Marylebone to South Kensington for the museums by there.
10 minute direct tube journey from Marylebone to Charing Cross for Trafalgar square (the cafe based in the crypt of the old St Martins in the Field church does nice, reasonably priced lunches). You have the National Art Gallery there. It is a few minutes walk from there to Whitehall where you can get close up photos beside the mounted Queens guards at the entrance and a better view of the the changing of the guards than at Buckingham Palace and is at 11am most days, think Sundays, it is earlier . From near Charing Cross station the red routemaster older buses no 15 that got to the Tower Of London past a lot of tourist attractions and you can use Oyster card on this route so it is a cheap tour option.

You might also enjoy Camden Lock market on the Sunday morning (it is open every day, but Sunday has more stalls).

The £190 isn't too bad OP, and Old Street is in a nice position close to Shoreditch and all its trendy hipster hangouts if you want some nightlife. Spitalfields market, Columbia Rd market and Brick Lane are nearby and nice to stroll around on a Sunday too.
If you can afford it, this is a fab place for a special breakfast or Sunday brunch only about 5 or 10 minutes walk away. The view (it's on the 40th floor) is amazing.

We do an annual Tesco Clubcard London trip. So after a year of amassing clubcard vouchers, we get our train and food for free, maybe see a show depending on our budget so normally only pay for our hotel.
We have twice stayed in the Farringdon Travelodge and we find its the cheapest, if a little out of the way. Only ten minutes from Kings Cross/Pancras but perhaps 30 minutes walk from Leicester Square/Covent Garden. We stayed last week, Fri-Mon (3 nights) and it cost us c.£130, booked about three months in advance. It is basic but adequate. I will warn you, their room doors do not half slam so if you are a light sleeper, I recommend ear plugs!
£190 does not sound bad OP but as already mentioned, it does depend on the quality. There are plenty of BnBs around Kings Cross area which work out, about £50 a night and again are basic but adequate again. But they can be pot luck and its been so long since I have stayed in one, I cant vouch for any of them.0
