As I mentioned above, it's the sheer pettiness exhibited by this bunch of money-grabbing morons.Even when it was pointed out to them that the "old" ticket machines were in use they still persisted in taking this to court. Of course, if PE acted reasonably then their whole empire would collapse.

Just think about it, by using the "wrong" registration machine (in the case of the Liverpool case) , or not being able to enter the complete number plate details, what actual loss has been suffered by Parking Eye? The sooner this despicable company gets its wings clipped, the better.

Correct they should really employ a legally qualified solicitor to access these claims before issuing them! Oh hang on a minute.

On a side note, somebody over on PPP have just reported the PE have been given the boot from a pub car park for harassing the customers. Where have we heard that before? :-

Losing cases, losing business, seems the broadside of issuing claims may be coming back to bite them.

I too am off tomorrow for two months to the land where parking is virtually free, to the land where the council clears vacant plots near the beach so that people can park all day for free, To the land where, should you overstay at a parking meter in town (€1.20 for two hours) you are fined €3.00 by a lovely young senorita, if you cannot wait to pay this vision you can put the money in the meter. This is the land where PPCs do not exist, park in a disabled bay and you will get a sticker on the windscreen telling you not to be selfish,

The police CAN fine you for traffic violations but would prefer to look stern and wag a finger at you. The only fly in the ointment is that, if you have a foreign number, plate and you park where you should not, your car can be towed away, but this is not the end of the world, mine was towed a few years ago and it cost me less than £100 to get it back.

If only the drivers were as accommodating, still hasta la vista.

I'm sure the many British motorists who have been used as a cash cow by the Spanish police will not regard that country quite so fondly (let alone the Britons who have been compelled to pay Spanish hospitals which flout European reciprocal health care agreements by refusing to recognise E111 cards).

I have read that some hospitals are declining E111s, but suspect that many of the cases involve riff raff involved in drunken brawls. Spain has huge financial problems and tries hard to get people to claim on their travel insurance. The European Commission are investigating.

Three years ago we were involved in a head on collision. A seventeen year old in a clapped out old banger decided to overtake an unmarked police car which was sticking to the speed limit, The police, emergency and health service were magnificent, I did not even need to attend court, the Guardia Civil handled everything..

Parking eye had a good thing going, like most PPC's they had 60% average mugs pay up.
Then they decided to go after the other 40%.
Now trouble is, the reason a lot of the other 40% do not pay fake parking tickets is because they are smarter than the other 60%.

Once they annoy the more intelligent, they opened a can of worms.
Now they are public enemy number 1, every time you type Parking eye in google it fetches up yet more court losses for them and some of the 60% start to think...
Bad publicity is seeing them get booted out of sites left right and centre and I am quite sure they are not going to stop until they completely FK up.
    Poetic justice I say.
Greedy fish that will drink their own pool.
    Be happy...;)
  • Apologies - I'm way behind on the blog and web page. I'm going to have to split parkingeye court losses into quarters. There's now so many cases they lost a whole year's worth won't fit onto the page any more.

Right now though 7 ponies have escaped from the sanctuary so this will have to wait a few hours!

I certainly do hope a revised list of these vexatious cases and subsequent multiple losses is entered as additional evidence in the super case.
Every plum on the scales helps...
    Be happy...;)
