Don't worry I have arranged for it all to be sent directly to me that way I can copy it and send it all together0

well we have been to hospital for an appointment today and the nephrologist amd urologist is very happy to write a letter for my daughter he was shocked that they never contacted him to start with, although after todays appointment they have found more problems so I guess that at least will only support our claim. back in next saturday for MRI so I guess we will see what that throws up
Unfortunately only your GP is required under their contract with the NHS to issue reports to the DWP. GP's get paid a fee for the report. Consultants and such like are under no obligation to issue any letter or report to the DWP, simply because they will not be paid for doing so. Many Consultant's will refuse point blank and if a request is sent to them by the DWP, most but not all, will simply send it back unanswered generally with a letter telling the DWP that they have more important things to do with their time - like treating, healing and saving patients' lives!
This is what happened when the Consultants were asked to let the DWP have a report for mum.0 -
so sorry to hear you had that problem confused daughter, back in 08 (I sending themt was) the dla did write to my daughters consultant who happily compiled a report and sent ot back a number of times as again back then they kept saying they hadn't received it oh well they have all agrees to write letters for my daughter and are sending them directly to me. Her consultants exact words today were "it p! $$*s me off ppl asking for stuff and getting things they don't qualify for amd then stopping the money to ppl who really struggle" he then apologised for the language lol0

No words of advice, just wanted to wish you all the best with the appeal. It's sad when they do these on paper, when if they wanted to check it would have been easy enough to send a doctor out4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

thanks mazza111, my hubbys reaction was "I'll appeal by taking her to their office for the day, swe if thwy still think she doesn't need more help than any child her age" the thing is he would n all0

Thinking about it, it doesn't seem that crazy. I do know people who have said similar things too.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I honestly believe that if they based their decisions on a medical/physical examination as well as the application forms and GP/consultants/medical professionals reports and letters then the system would be much better. My daughter can't even stand up straight never mind walk any considerable distance or at the same speed as her peers.0

What is the exact criteria for each getting high rate care and mobility then you can use the information from consultants to demonstrate this.Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0

If she has a statement of special educational needs, has that been sent off? And can you ask the school to provide a letter stating the help they give on a typical day?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
