Match Day Parking Charge

  • I visited Asda today and spoke to the store manager. It turns out that the day I visited the retail park, Cardiff City were playing away and there was in fact a fairground nearby.

The crafty slime at NGP enforced their match day restrictions to take advantage of the fairground and any visitors they might nab in the process.

The manager at Asda was just as riled as I was and told me that he was dealing with multiple complaints from that day and also two weekends before when a Circus was visiting.

In short, he has assured me that he will deal with it and I will hear no more regarding the matter. Great news.

Thanks to everybody who offered their advice. It's very much appreciated. :j

Well done too you :) do you have anything that says they are enforcing this because there is a match in the stadium?

  • The sign states:

3 HOURS FREE PARKING (NO RETURN WITHIN 2 HOURS)
RESTRICTED TO 90 MINUTES ON MATCHDAYS

The NTK simply stated that I overstayed at 2hrs 8mins.

The crafty little beggars knew full well that there was no match being played at the stadium.

Please go to post #6 of coupon mad's sticky thread and send complaints to the dvla and bpa, provide an image of the sign, an image of your notice to keeper, and a screenshot of the fixture list by Cardiff . Inform both that the parking company had no reason to get your RK details and it's a breach of their kadoe contract and of the dpa.

A call to trading Standards is always worthwhile when lower than low tactics are engaged.

This really does need reporting to the local paper as well as Trading Standards and your MP. Think how many other people will have been caught out too.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi guys,

Since my last post, I have complained to the BPA and the DVLA. Also, been in contact with a journalist at my local paper.

My complaints have been acknowledged and I will be kept in the loop going forward.

It's an absolute travesty that this has come to light and has affected people in the same situation as us, some of which have surely paid up to avoid the bullying from NGP.
