I was thinking more along the lines of full sized SD, seeing as they are cheap, so a mobile that takes SD cards could make a affordable mp3 player.

Funny old thing, I've just found an old 3-branded SD card, from one of my earliest 3 phones, some huge motorola thing, it was. shows how old it is, it's only 32MB :D

Mini and Micro cards are nearly as cheap now but I know the early orange spv's take Full sized SD cards and can be picked up cheaply on Ebay. I am sure people can correct me but many phones that take sd cards won't take the new generation of 4GB sd cards.

I have an spv c500 that takes mini sd and it also acts like a basic mp3 player, the Samsung d900 takes micro sd and has an mp3 player. The price of Sony memory is falling so you may want to look at one of Sony's walkman phones.

If you aren't stuck on the idea of using full sized SD cards there are loads of phones you could go for.

Have a look at the latest play prices for smaller sd cards
