Talktalk have launched a new package with broadband included
£10.50 line rental
£5.89 for Talk 2 international
Upto 8meg broadband at no extra charge
£16.39 for the package
Talk2 international includes
UNLIMITED offpeak UK landline calls to 01 & 02 numbers
UNLIMITED ANYTIME calls to 36 countries
Unlimited ANYTIME calls to other TalkTalk customers, nearly 3m of them now as well
There are also giving you £10 credit if you sign up online, which is dwarfed by £30 credit they can apply to your bill if you sign up in Carphone stores (although I think this not advertised, and they use it as a sales tactic)

Beware: many TalkTalk customers (myself included) are currently experiencing download speeds of 0.6 Mbs or less during peak times. TalkTalk are not coming clean on the reason for this...0

Great value if you only want to send/receive emails (not on talktalks' mail servers"), surf slowly in the evening and have lost the will to live. They should pay you £100 to sign up and have Dunstone personally lick your boots for signing up to his chronic "service".
I think the "free broadband forever" scam started in April 2006 so predict mass exodus September/October this year from the 18 month contracts.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -

Well it looks like the download speed problem is now being resolved. Most people are now back to the speeds they had last week.
I am currenty on the old Talk3 tariff which costs £20.98. Is it possible to switch to this new cheaper Talk2 International tariff? Would they still charge me the setup fee even though I am already connected?
Are there any gotchas with this new package? I won't be making (m)any day time calls so that is no loss. I am still on my trial period if that makes a difference.0 -
You made me laugh out loud.
I was only with them for a couple of days before I realised I'd made a dreadful mistake. Everyone should know, yes including Martin who labours under the impression that they have a 'good deal' that the service, if you can call it that, is way inadequate - real problems sending email from any site and no access to Ebay, and the speed is apallingly slow!!!
DON'T SIGN UP - IT'S AWFUL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!
I was only with them for 5 days before I left to go back to BT.0 -
A customer has sent the bailiffs in to talktalk, have a read of this article in Money Guardian about half way down the page.0

I have struggled with TalkTalk for six months now (talk3 international, Martin's recommendation), my broadband speeds have been as poor as dial-up. Talktalk kept promising to fix it, and never have. Now when I have decided to give up, they are going to charge me £70. They say that the broadband is not part and parcel of the talk3 international plan, and as my telephone service is not a problem they are going to charge me the £70 disconnection charge. Come on Martin, it's time you exposed these fraudsters, and stop giving them new customers.....0
