I used to work in a toy shop and by far the most popular ethnic doll for toddlers was first baby annabel.
Baby born also came in ethnic version though was hard bodied and not very popular at all!0 -
Schools, nurseries, creches etc generally purchase their equipment from Hope Education. I'm rubbish with technical stuff and can't do a link, but if you google Hope Education it will come up. They have some excellent ethnic dolls with the correct features (i.e. not a white doll coloured black IYKWIM). They are more pricey than the reatailers mentioned above but worth a look to compare (£21.00 ish). Try product codes: LN011202 or LA563096. I ordered a black male doll and a chinese girl and they have been great. Hope he likes them!
Also NES Arnold and Galt which are the same company but all 3 have different prices for the same products.

I used to love my black cabbage patch doll (I think they're soft bodied but don't have moving eyelids) and I'm pretty sure my golly still lives on the spare bed at my nan's house.hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried
