currently paying £35.99 p/m for BT Infinity unlimited. Are they pliable when it comes to a bit of haggling?

Yes they are. But your paying how much? Could you break that down please?0

Ha. Is that overly high to begin with then? At least I'm in a good position to haggle then
It's for unlimited fibreoptic broadband and home phone, I took the contract at the advertised prices. It was a tenner less to start with but I ended up overshooting my limit repeatedly and it became clear I needed the unlimited.
Have made some good savings on my monthly outgoings recently but I've left BT as I want to know what the best way to approach them are and how open they are to it.
I've only recently signed the contract as well...probably been with them about three or four months.0 -
If you've only been with them a few months I'd rate your chances of getting a reduction as close to zero. In general you get discounts when your are either out of the minimum contract period or at least very close to it.0

Agreed. One can negotiate at the end of ones contract, not mid-term. And your paying standard for both phone and BB.0 -
Negotiate before you are in contract-not after.
Then quote them what you can get elsewhere, i.e. Plusnet, who are always cheaper. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
