LG G2 - KitKat firmware bugs

I got my LG G2 back in October. Loved it especially the quality of audio playback (one of the main reasons I got it).
Now the KitKat release comes out and with the update comes an unbearable hissing noise during music playback.
LG say they're working on a fix but can't provide a release date.
So I guess what I want to know is what to do?
The only way I can go back to Jelly Bean (which worked) will void my warranty. Don't really want to sit around with a phone that isn't fully functional.
Do I take LG to small claims court?
Just looking for some advice.
