I love tomatoes and probably eat them every day but I cannot bring myself to like mushrooms, in any shape or form.
Tink if I may ask a personal question (and obviously feel free not to answer if you don't want to) but I've noticed you take a few vitamins and supplements. Are they to treat your condition, or just for overall general health?

The cod liver oil is for my joints, recently got devils claw but waiting on then being delivered

Ketones to help with weight loss

    Echinacea to help prevent cold/flu

And the multi vit to make sure I get what I need

mixed berries in red wine dessert

I wasn't actually trying to lose weight at all.I think I said that in my post.

Yet you still put it forward as an example of how weight loss worked. And you are right, you will lose weight but that does not mean it's healthy. What was your point if any?

Crispy seaweed from the Chinese restaurant is cabbage fried with soy sauce and sugar, cabbage and kale are closely related.

I didn't say it was healthy.
My point was that eating low calories doesn't prevent weight loss, in my experience.
Nothing to do with deliberately trying to lose weight.
What further point should I be making?

My counterpoint is it is unsustainable in the long term for many reasons and counterproductive in the long term. And it is your experience not the whole picture.

Also less muscle means proportionaly less calorie burn off on a daily basis. It's not a massive ammount but a pound of muscle at rest burn of 6 calories a day, a pound of fat 2. And that's just at rest.
