Any views on shebang and their cheap SIM only tariff?
Hi - I have had an Asda mobile PAYG which is due to finish at the end of April. I am a very low user (middle name "cheapskate") of phone/text (I have spent approx £20 over the last year) and have a really old phone which doesn't even do data. I have been thinking about upgrading to a Nexus 5 smartphone but I would get it SIM free.
I was looking at other tariffs, as I don't even think the pitiful number of contacts I have would be too fussed if I changed my number, and have come across a monthly plan from a company called Shebang that I've never heard about, and can't find it mentioned on any of the pages here. It offers really low use (30min calls, 30 texts, 30mb data) for £2.50 a month, half the price of giffgaff.
I just thought before I took the plunge I'd see if anybody on these forums had any views or words of warning. Shebang's big USP seems to be they don't do a credit check, but I don't actually mind if they do or not, as being somewhat of a miser I have plenty of credit to check *smug look*.
Many thanks

They run on 3UK network, don't know if the are a reseller or MVNO ?
Higher plans are 3's public plans but with extra cost incase someone with no credit check leaves a debt, its a good idea to rebuild credit files. Also great offers on low usage on contract, no top ups.

Yes I'm aware first post may not be entirely legit, but its a good deal.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I see they offer capping, but (e.g.) Chitter-Chatter seem to give more airtime for smaller prices, although the cheapest contracts are pretty unique.0

Hi thanks for the replies. I promise I'm legit, my first post may have been a bit vague but I suppose I was looking for suggestions for alternatives. I only know giffgaff and the big names, but now I'll have a look at chitter chatter (what's with these stupid names?!).
Many thanks again

But if you stayed in their low tariff limits it would only cost £1.80 on threes 321 payg.0

Thanks! I have gone with 3's 3-2-1 with a £10 top up, as it's even cheaper, and the credit lasts until you use it (according to 3). Thank you!0

Credit lasts indefinitely, but when you top up online you get a free allowance of 150mb that lasts 30 days, then it reverts back to 1p per mb.0 -
MrdiamondsSenior went on 3's 3/2/1p deal after Ovivo went to the wall...its good for his usage, time will come I need a contract so no faffing about topping up in his old age.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Make sure you top up in £5 increments to get even more free data.0
