    Reputation or actual cost

Actually their reputation must benefit from this move, although I expect the jury will be out until such time as we see the shape of any replacement arrangements (perhaps Trev might want to put in a bid?)

The financial side of things might be a different kettle of fish, but if I recall correctly, wasn't there some sort of trial/cooling off period without penalty?

I understand some FOI's are in preparation.

The cost to the trust is purely in implementing the new system - barriers etc.

However the feeling within the trust is that the contract was costing them way more both in reputation and staff time/effort.

The contract contains a three month termination clause which was invoked in January. PE tried to fight it without success.

Glad it's been cancelled without costs the nhs trust. Paying parking eye out of tax payers money would be beyond the pale, these scum deserve nothing.

This whole saga must be a salutary warning to any NHS Trust that is unthinkingly being seduced by and sleepwalking into a PE 'free-to-you' car park 'management' contract.

Act in haste, repent at leisure.
All that glitters is not gold.
If it seems to be too good to be true, (in this case) it definitely is!

Thanks but not all down to me. I played a small part and openly 'stole' some excellent letters etc from the regulars here.

I tend not to follow local papers etc so I'm not sure what adverse publicity there was and I'm also unaware of how much pressure was coming from individuals not posting on here. There was one othe member of the public invited to the stakeholder meeting who actually did a presentation on what other trusts have in place. Burton received a special mention as having huge issues with PE.

I've moved onto Newcastle now who are already in trouble with mefor missing FOI response times.

The irony is probably that I've never received a 'ticket'
