Would be interesting to read up on the original planning permission to see if any restrictions were put in place for the car park, for example use of other shops.

It wouldn't be the first time Aldi has overlooked planning permissions in their quest to seek profits from the kick-backs offered by Parking Lie

Would it be worth checking with the council to see if the rateable value has now changed due to making money from the car park?

Would this be in Westhill - just outside Aberdeen?

Sounds just like it - I parked there only last week - did some shopping in Aldi, but also went to the close-by M&S and Specsavers.

New PE signs all over the place.

Aldi have a big expansion plan for Scotland and PE seems to be moving in everywhere - even where the car-parks are not exclusively for Aldi shoppers.

I think we'll get a lot more posts in the coming months.
  • If it is Westhill the signs are so ridiculous as to be completely unenforceable. Doubly unenforceable as it's in Scotland. I was there some time ago and spent 20 minutes reading the rubbish on the signs, so i only had 1 hour 10 minutes to do my shopping. As you can imagine i was in a right panic over it all.......
