Googled pics on Google and turns out to be a Schuko plug!

Still not sure what to do with it though.
I can do basic electrics (rewire an iron, rebuild a computer and similar), but as I don't want to trash a very nice looking laptop I thought I would get advice :)

The end that goes into the power block is a small kettle lead, so I'm guessing I could just replace it with another with an English plug?
Many many thanks for not laughing,

Yup. When I travel to places with different plugs I just replace the UK lead with one with the appropriate foreign plug on it. It's surprising how many places use the same plug though.
  • Hi,

That would work, cable colours should be EU standard so same as ours.

by power lead, I mean the lead from the wall to the power adaptor, just incase old adaptor is different power rating, check rating first if using complete unit.

OP won't be paying for the funeral.

So who will be if not? The bill goes to the estate.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
