Sky Broadband Connect

After reading all the horror stories about the Sky Broadband Connect package I have to say I am very happy I made the switch to sky.
They estimated I would get "up to 8 Meg" and between 4 to 8 meg.
I have ran several speed tests and am currently getting 11 meg off peak and 6 meg at peak times.
I only moved to sky to consolidate direct debits into one for all my home entertainment.
I only wish they would LLU my exchange so I could get unlimited.
Anyone else happy with sky connect

Interesting, I always thought BB Connect was only up to 8Mbps.
Care to post your line stats to confirm.

If scotslad's exchange has been upgraded to 21CN then even without LLU he could be put on to ADSL2+ allowing synch up to 24 Mb.
As I understand it, there is a limited timescale on upgrading ADSL Max connections once an exchange has been moved on to 21CN. If the ISP don't upgrade the subscriber then I'm led to believe that the connection will be ceased?0 -
Looks like a good connection Scotslad, just over not 6, not even 11, but just over 16 Mbps.
Your variable results are probably down to network congestion.Questions are a burden to others; answers a prison for oneself0 -
am led to believe my exchange is 21cn.
So does that mean sky won't LLU in my area. ?0 -
Tends to be determined on the number of subscribers on your exchange. Look it up on Samknows.Questions are a burden to others; answers a prison for oneself0

Apparently Sky are slowing down/stopping their exchange LLU conversion programme. They make the most money currently on the old Market 1 20CN exchanges -as these vanish and fibre is rolled out to much of the UK the financial incentives get much smaller or even disappear.0

Sky and TT have probably now LLU'd most of the exchanges that are ever going to be economic to open up.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
