Very little flying today. Woke up at 8am so went to the doctor's - I will be contacted by physio, if I am better I will not need to go. Meanwhile carry on doing what I can and rest as soon as anything starts to ache. Definitely not allowed up ladders (or to carry anything heavy). Frustrating but I need to allow my body time to heal.
Had finished one library book and finished a second waiting for the doctor (no appointment needed if you get there before 10.30am - really wonder how people cope with doctors who will only see you in 2/ 3 weeks time). So hopped on infirmary bus to town centre and returned books and put tins in food bank box (at library).
Called at opticians to get glasses fixed (arms were splayed out like bambi on the frozen puddle) - not exactly a frog, but bothering me and haven't been able to get there (all the places I have been were under 5 minutes away from each other - if I could walk properly).
Took 3 letters to DS2 and asked if he needed food (was off sick then his workplace closed for refurbishing so struggling). He is managing and re-opening is on Friday - please let good weather continue over Easter, he might start paying me back what he owes (they have grass and picnic tables so very popular with families who haven't gone away, if weather is good).
Decided to go to little Arseda (still need to do proper shop - have tessimo vouchers) and get back quickly as DS3 had an exam at 2pm.
DS3 has taken my bank card and will deposit a cheque for me (he has a student year ticket) and get out £10 in cash (used internet to swap from my account to his).
Considering buying a weekly ticket for £13 (would still have to pay an extra bit to get to mum's from town centre. However I could manage to food shop/ re-stock, take library books back and get new ones, do charity shop runs, buy new bath mat (sale + vouchers) and even have a day out - there are a couple of places I could go (take food and drink) with lots of benches to sit on.
Can't do much in the front room (enough laminate/ underlay for 2 rooms - 2nd hand gift from Mr builder) - but it's 2 slightly different colours and have only managed 3 pieces a day when I tried to sort it so I will consider this room my living room (spending most of my time here) and will have another go at tidying today. Will also sweep down the stairs (may have to do half, then rest before second half) and have a wipe round in the kitchen. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Afternoon all
Uni visit went well, lots of walking done. Just having a cuppa and then I'll get the washing in and do a HHC before DS3 gets back and I'll need to take him to cricket nets.
Going to catch up with my ironing tonight too and may even get a few more bits of paperwork done. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Afternoon flyladies :hello:
I haven't achieved a great deal today, paid stuff wiped me out, their conservatory is huge, takes a lot of cleaning and as the sun was beaming it was SO. HOT. in there. I can't believe they can sit in it during the height of summer!
DS1 has been put forward for his school's gifted and talented programme for maths now too, along with scienceFeeling very proud of him as he works very hard. Unlike DS2 who is a lazy toot -- he has an "India Day" soon where they're tasting lots of different foods and his teacher needed to know if he had any allergies. I wrote "homework" on the form
Dinner is cooking, as per Dusty's instructions I have found a new recipe so we are having Chicken Tikka Masala made with HM curry paste. Smells good thus far.
Washing has been shuffled, not enough ironing to warrant putting the board up today. Just going to have a shower and declutter the bits of me which ought not to be hairy! :eek:0 -

How on earth did you sneak a camera into my living room??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Princesses have been suitably prettified; which was quite a game, as they seem to think brushes and combs are something to play with.:D
Just waiting for Mr LW to turn up, then it's a swift foray to @ldi, then veggie sausage'n'chips and tomatoes for dins.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
DH got home to find our garage (not attached to our home) has been broken into and a load of stuff stolen
including about £1000 worth of his drum equipment. Thieving barstewards

Bu*mer, Fizz. Sory to hear that.
Pigpen, thanks for the update on DD2's boyf. I had hoped that with your supportive intervention that he would be able turn his life around, but apparently not yet. Thank you for giving him a chance though, and you never know, at some point in the future he might understand what it was you were doing. Here's hoping, anyway. In the meantime, I hope your DD copes with the fallout.
The chalet required more than a quick flick of the fevver duster, as I knew it would. I took almost all of the linen back and will take the last of it tomorrow which will clear a huge pile out of my office. The back bedroom has had some serious attention and I realised on the way there that none of the furniture has been pulled out since it was moved in three years ago, so it's not surprising it was v. grotty. I can't find the vaccumm cleaner head and I know it's there somewhere but fortunately I know the dy$on spares fit it, so they'll be going over there tomorrow with me.
I've degibbled the car and will stop off on the way over tomorrow to get it washed and then I'll zazz the interior, as OH has booked us on a Brittany Ferries 24 hour offer trip for my burfday treat and I want it a bit less full of Devonian fluff for that. He's even booked the dogsitter, who is about four weeks off podding so that'll be the last time she house/cat/dog sits for us - congrats to her, of course but *curses* speaking selfishly.
And my favourite vet is leaving the practice to go on a 'gap year' type trip with her OH and they haven't decided where they're going to settle afterwards. *more curses*
Bulk loads of washing done, house tidying, superking stripped and remade, another booking for next week confirmed and pesto made from three bunches of whoopsied basil. V v garlicky. (OH is away for a few days, just as well, really.)Better is good enough.0 -
Sorry. Didn't eat that big fat frog but someone else has offered to eat it with me. I've sent them a photo and I hope they can manage the biggest bit so that I can just have the legs French style. Feeling a bit better already.
Sorry 'bout the flying but I will be with you soon.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
