Spanish Car Hire

My wife is travelling to Spain with 6 companions in June I her booked flights with Jet2.com. She also required a vehicle for the entire party of 7. So I booked a car through the Jet2.com website Holiday extras this was on the 8th Jan 2014 (7 seater automatic) deposit paid booking confirmed. The date of booking being 6 months in advance, knowing that if we left it too late this vehicle might not be available.
I might also add she is the only driver in the party and is registered disabled, and requires a automatic vehicle. We have just received an email from the hire company in Spain stating that the car is now not available.
What are my rights etc?
Who do I persue Jet2 or the Spanish car hire company?

Unfortunately, if you've received a full refund, you can't pursue anyone.
Where in Spain is she flying, and what dates? Someone on here will probably be able to find a reasonable deal.0 -

She has not received a refund she was told to take smaller car (5 seater) with a manual gearbox this car would not seat 7 people and her licence does cover her to drive it!0 -
Ask for a refund, then book again. June is still two months away.
Reason booked six months in advance was 7 seater autos are like rocking horse sh*t, also the price would have increased!
Also what is the point in booking in advance for a required vehicle even if it's been confirmed 3 months earlier!0 -
Unfortunately there isn't anything else you can do, so just tell them she'll take a refund, then find another option.
I do agree though, finding another 7 seat auto may be a little tricky.
Posting the car hire agent (Goldcar, Dickmanns etc) dates and airport here would help.0 -

I dont think you will get anywhere. Which is shambolic (in your circumstances). I assume you have had a a full refund?
You could try https://www.carjet.com for a replacement?0
