Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
We've never been on holiday together as we didn't have the money but we've scrimped for ages and we've finally got enough money! We didn't want to end up in debt for the sale of a holiday!
I love snorkelling so that's something I really want to do. My friend had bought us a stargazing present to the desert as a present so we're really excited about it!
I've been watching the news and sharm looks ok so fingers crossed it stays that way.
One idea that we had was to collect a pebble every day and write a memory from that's day on it then we'll have a jar of memories to keep forever!

Ah if you've never had a holiday together then there's loads you can do.
If you leave a little tip in Sharm for your room attendants when you come back they'll have made hearts and all kind of shapes on your bed with towels, corny I know but some - me - love it.
The star gazing is fab, as is a Sun rise quad bike ride in the desert. They also have an ice bar where you can snuggle up together with a drink. Go to a local shop, or ask your MD in the main restaurant and get a picnic, either haddown to your beach at midnight or have a midnight feast on your balcony .
Take loads of photos and try to get many of you both together, not just you taking photos of hubby and him of you.
Snorkeling in sharm is really good.
Collecting pebbles is good, I always fill a shampoo bottle with some sand of all our places we'vebeen and have a candle with all the sand at home, not a lot of sand obviously.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

That is a really cool idea!
From our honeymoon in Las Vegas I collected ticket stubs from shows we went to see and also from attractions we visited. I also saved a beer mat from Gordon Ramsay's BurgR restaurant too. Then when we got home I framed them all along with a postcard made from a photo I'd took, and also a leaflet from the Neon Museum. It looks really cool!
A friend went to Sharm, and went in a hot air balloon! I was shocked, as she isn't the adventurous type, but she absolutely loved it!0 -
Make sure you tell everyone preferably in advance that you are "on your honeymoon" - it may just get you an upgrade on your flight/room, some extras in your room (wine, fruit, champagne) or complimentary food/drinks at restaurants. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

if your off on your honeymoon, the main thing you should be doing will cost you nothing...... if you catch my drift.0

Could be really, really hot - lots of sun cream, hats etc will stop sunburn or sunstroke ruining your honeymoon....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Good luck....It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Then this advice below is priceless. :rotfl:DigForVictory wrote: »If you can go diving, brilliant, but there's still loads to see just snorkelling - but please swim in a shirt or water resistant sunscreen so your back doesn't burn? There's just no comfortable position with a sunburned back.
Sorry OP, no ideas but I hope you have a wonderful time.
Maybe check out Tripadvisor for Sharm, you'll probably get lots of ideas of what to do/see.
I always find that knowing something about where you're going before you arrive gives you an edge.0
