Maybe I wasn't too clear ... it's an online deal at JL, so won't be in store (I assume) meaning I (or son) can not ask for a price match.

BTW thank you for all the replies

    Another thumbs up from me.
  • Another big thumbs up for Richer Sounds from me too.

Spent lots of money there over the last couple of years.

I had a sub stop working so I called them up and they were extremely helpful. Took it to the store (no box or receipt, just the sub) they pulled my details up on the computer, then tested the sub. It was broken so they gave me another one. No messing around.

Actually booked in to test a few bits and pieces in their demo room on Thursday.

Nothing wrong with RS, go with RS if they are cheaper. Ive got the exact tv and its pretty nice even though its only 720p. First tip is make sure the unit its going to sit on is wide enough as i made the mistake of not checking the size of the base and it wont currently fit on the unit I have and second is dont buy the expensive HDMI leads.

That tv deal is instore only.

Used RS for 20 years without problem and taken friends to shop there. Recently bought my new tv from there.
The stores are good with helpful and friendly staff. The 5 year guarantee for under 39" tv's requires you return the tv to them. Not a problem for me but it depends where you live.

I hate Richer Sounds , they are rascals.... Well ok I actually have bought lots of stuff from then, and never had a problem, the rascals bit stems from them closing down my closest store , I have to get the wife to drive me another 4 miles each way , which means I have to listen to her going on "Why can't we go to PC World/Currys?" thank goodness for the demise of Comet...:D Notwithstanding the internet , the guys in my local stores are very honest and don't try to sell me incontinence pads etc

Richer Sounds are great, but if you're willing to pay the little bit extra to buy from JL (who you like dealing with), then buy from JL.
It's not always about getting the absolute best deal, but getting a deal you are happy with.
