Inactive ISA Halifax

Ive had an ISA Saver Online with Halifax for years and change it every year to their new offering. I havent added any funds in my ISA for some time (around 18 month) and today when i went to view the account it said "account inactive, click here to activate it"

I did so, confirmed some details and the account was active again. Is that all i need to do? Never seen this before when not transfering money if for 12 months or more

Yes, that seems normal. It's a part of the ISA regulations. If you don't contribute to an ISA during a whole tax year, when you next wish to contribute the provider must get you to complete an ISA declaration again. That should be all you have to do to reactivate your ISA.

Have you checked what rate you're getting on your ISA? The Halifax ISA Saver Online account has a time-limited bonus and that has likely long expired if you opened this a few years ago. You could be getting a very poor rate.
This is everybody's fault but mine.
