    Morning DFW's!

I managed not to spend anything yesterday, I am going to try not spending for the rest of the week, its payday Friday and I should be ok grocery wise until then. I have homemade soup for lunch and car pooling this week so wont need any extra petrol - turning into a right miser!

I checked my bank balance this morning and got a lodgement I was waiting on and as I only have today, tomorrow and Thurs to get through I have transferred this €100 to my credit card! :j.

I have a jar of coins at home, going to get DD to help me count them and bag them this weekend and then hopefully add them to my emergency fund - there's not very much there but every little helps!

Off to update my signature and to listen to yesterdays Dave Ramsey show. I ordered his book last week (using my debit card!) and I got an email this morning to say it shipped!

    Morning DFW's :D

I'm in work early today, nobody else really in yet so having a cuppa and catching up with a few diaries, I find them great inspiration.

I was hoping to have another NSD today but I have to buy a few groceries for baking with DD for a bake sale in her school tomorrow, but will stick to my list! She has very extravagant ideas of what to bake but we will be sticking to cupcakes and tray bakes only.

DD is off to her dads this weekend so I am going to spend this time sorting out clutter at home (before I turn into one of those people you see on hoarders, DD is worse than me though, she never wants to get rid of anything!). I want to see if I can get some stuff together to sell on ebay/facebook. I am sure there is a lot of stuff there that we don't need or don't use. I have never sold on ebay before so need to check out how that all works - what % do they take on what you sell? I have loads of old CD's too but we don't seem to have anything like Music Magpie here in Ireland and they won't deal with Irish customers by the looks of things, so going to have a look to see if I can find another place to sell them.

I get paid this Friday so hoping to pay about €300 off debts and build my emergency fund up a little more. I get paid every fortnight and seem to wish my life to every payday, planning how much I can pay off and seeing that figure going down :rotfl: Roll on Friday!!

I think everyone on here wishes is was payday constantly because of the thrill of doing something debt wise.
I'm the same. I like having payday to be able to get money together to put towards savings and the likes.

It's not brilliant wishing the time away, but everyone seems to be doing it, and we're only wishing it so we can get closer to our DFD. It's not a bad thing, but we should definitely enjoy the days getting there. It will be worth it =)

  • I know elfy1807, I shouldn't be wishing my life away lol. I guess I have always wished for payday though usually for new clothes and nights out and now its to pay off debt :rotfl:

Yesterday wasn't too bad, I bought a few groceries as we needed them to make stuff for a school bake sale, DD made 48 cupcakes, 24 mini muffins and a tray of rice krispie squares, the house smelt divine last night.

Going to try and have a NSD today, although DD raided my change jar for money last night to spend at the school bake sale. I have been looking for somewhere to sell CD's in Ireland and I haven't found anywhere so looks like they are going up on ebay. I'll wait for a free listing weekend and put a few up and see how it goes. We also have Nintendo DS and Wii games to sell so I'll try ebay with those too.

Payday tomorrow so hoping to get that debt total down a bit!

  • I've a feeling that there are some shops that might buy your stuff on the street directly opposite Connolly station.
