Are you on the cooking sherry today ?

Actually I had a chat this week about that. A Vietnamese friend and another bloke reckoned that dry sherry was a good substitute for rice wine in much SE Asian cooking and indeed that rice wine was a good sherry substitute in European cooking for Jerez.

Maybe and maybe not. They still earn an income and if they lose their jobs to Zombie Robots then then won't earn an income no never no more.

    Good for you.

    Mine only increased :

I've seen that my zoopla estimate has increased twice in the past month. (+£7k & +£20k Get In there!!)

Anyone know when and what triggers an update ?

i've heard that, due to cost cutting, from now on they're not going to update the value of any house until its owner walks very slowly across a random point of very busy nearby A-road, naked & blindfolded, pulling a series of pelvic thrusts & fist pumps.

strange i know, but don't shoot the messenger :(
    FACT.

Well done, I applaud your wise judgement and hard work.

I'm hoping for similar figures after 5 years of ownership

    It's tough being a homeowner.

My central heating has cost me nearly £450 in the last 20 years.

As if it couldn't get any worse I had to pay a window cleaner £20 to replace a roof tile. Luckily when I moved in I pinched half a dozen tiles from the builders yard otherwise you could add a fiver to that.

Zoopla simply takes the last known sale price and adjusts for the average market price change in the area. It's utter nonsense. If you get your home for a low price (e.g. because of a desperate seller), Zoopla will always estimate your home as worth less than the identical ones around it.

Small differences paid make a huge change later on. We live in a road of identical houses. Many haven't sold since the 1990s. Back then, people paid slightly different amounts. Now, there's a range of £100k between the lowest and the highest on Zoopla which is bonkers.

It's owned by the Daily Mail group so you can safely assume it will always talk b*****ks.

The only thing it's useful for is showing you the old Rightmove listings from when houses were previously marketed, so you can nose at whether the current owners have actually done any work to the place.

If you really are a quant trader or analyst then I'm very surprised that you want to rely on others' opinions so much.
Perhaps you're not what you claim to be.

    Of course he's not.

Spends far too much time posting drivel on here for a start................and asking dumb questions.

    Pathetic.
