By the way Zandoni my qualifications are 10 GCSE's grade A to C, mostly A & B & also A levels in Maths, physics & geography. I earn most of my income through self employment as opposed to my retail work.
Again why are you asking what qualifications are needed to work in my shop? If you like questions then are you finally going to reveal what exactly it is you do?0 -

It's not necessarily illegal to work on gas appliances if not gas safe registered.
You must be registered if the work is being done as part of a business or if the appliance is installed in any rental property but the registration requirement isn't a factor if working on your own equipment.
All that the relevant legislation states (The gas safety (installation and use) regulations) is that you can work on gas installations on a non business related matter if competent to do so. (Competency isn't defined in the regulations).
I'm not saying or implying that it would be sensible for anyone to consider doing this, simply that provided you could show that you were competent to do the work, you wouldn't be doing anything illegal.0
