Returning an Acoustic guitar to abusive retailer!

  • My opinion is that you should consider getting the guitar back before proceeding further.
As it stands, you have no evidence as to the state of it and if you get it returned then you can at least get an independent report as to its condition.

If you were to take legal action, who is to say that the seller wouldn't simply present another guitar as evidence to show that it was in good condition.

    Back to the point...

    What date did it arrive?
What date did you notify them that you wanted to return it?
Does this fit with the 7 working days of distance selling regulations?
    How did you notify them?

OP says it arrived 3 days later than expected, and then the OP took 12 days to assess the guitar and note any issues.

DSRs are (most likely) out of the window, and this is a SOGA case.

The OP came here for consumer advice .

My advice is that keeping it for 12 days to 'assess' it is the OP taking the p*** to the Nth degree.

This can be done for any guitar within minutes or hours.

It's not a task that takes days on end. I refuse to believe that the OP's 'life got in the way' and that he had insufficient spare time to do this each day over the 12 days.
