Morning all, glorious morning down here for us, hope you all enjoy some good weather today. Cat basking in the sun on the table
DH gone for bike ride, I've reconciled the bank accounts and am sitting enjoying a coffee. spinach and sweet potato curry for dinner tonight, we are trying to eat meat only twice a week now.
Neighbours laying a new patio so pretty noisy out there, cutting stones etc so may get the sander out and sand down old pine trunk whilst it's already noisy.
All the best for your op JackieO, look forward to seeing you back posting when you are able.
Enjoy the weekend everyone
Ps, all the best to Molly tooCarolbee0 -
Hi all
I've just popped back to wish JackieO & Molly all the best for their ops.
Moorhen it's been a nightmare term & I can't see the next one being any easier.
I've dropped hubby at work, bought 6 Easter eggs for the DGC, bought some holdups for me I can't cope with tights any more, put petrol in the car, 8p off a ltr with Mr T fuel save, I know Aldi is cheaper, but I can't get there easily. I collected DD from her house & dropped her at work, came home emptied WM & DW, refilled & reloaded, next I need to strip the bed & wash the bedding.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all,
Thinking of our dear friends in the build up to their operations.
Donny-gal. So glad that your major crisis has been averted. I hope the rest of the wedding goes to plan.
Not much for me to add today. Hubby is at work all weekend and I'm having my Grandson for a couple of hours this afternoon. Not sure how we are fitting in the grocery shopping but theres nothing I'm desperate for and if there was, theres always the shop up the road.
All went well at the doctors, more long term tablets and cream to make me young again (I wonder if I can use it on me face).
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

TTFTM thank you so much for the welcome. I know you are a lovely friendly bunch that is why I read every day. I would love to join you.
I can't promise to join in every day because I am not sure I have that much happening in my life.
We are both retired now although still manage to have a fulfilling life, but I know many of you are working and rushing around just as I did before retirement.
It is really cold here today I do so hope it warms up soon.
Have a good weekend everyone and very good wishes to all poorlies.
Much love

I have two flaked-out doggies on the lounge carpet!:D We took them for a walk over the field - luckily it's all dry now; last time I saw it, there was a lake in the middle, with ducks and swans on it! The girls had to stop and sniff absolutely everything because it's eight months since they were here last, so it's all new again for them.
We've decided to split out 30 minutes daily walk time into 2 x 15 mins for their stay though; by the time we got back today my left wrist was pure screaming agony, felt like it was on fire from within, and I think splitting the time up will help prevent that, or at least it won't get so bad.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon,
I'm here in deepest darkest walesthe B and B is lovely and we are just relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
It hasn't stopped raining since the moment we set off but we came prepared with brollies and raincoats so that's ok.
Just pinching a moment whilst dh has an afternoon nap, may join him shortly:T this is the life.
Have booked a local Bistro for tonight's meal and I'm walking as much as I can with my crutch.
Will look forward to a nice cooked breakfast by someone else and a leisurely trip back tomorrow.
Just keep forgetting to mention, yesterday when I was out shopping I walked past a Cash machine that was beeping away. When I looked someone had withdrawn cash and left it in the machine:eek: I pulled the money out and looked around to see if anyone was rushing back but no sign of anyone. Anyway the machine was attached to a supermarket so I went in and spoke to the chap on the counter and explained what had happened. They counted the money, £70. He shouted over his supervisor and they noted the time and said they would try and track down who had withdrawn it. Both were absolutely flabbergasted I'd handed the money in, kept saying aren't you honest!
It would never cross my mind to do anything else. Anyway on my way out the ladies on the charity table for cancer research both gave me a hug and said well done. I was bright red by the time I left the shop. Hopefully the poor person will get their money back.
Off for an afternoon snooze, bye for now xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

House move yesterday went like a well oiled clockwork. Pickfords turned up on time, unloaded like they were on piece work, did everything they were meant to and were gone within two hours. Very impressed.
Then I had to find things. managed the bedding and kitchen stuff (mugs and wine glasses seemed important). Later in the evening some neighbours turned up with provisions, including wood, and we all had a very convivial evening.
My lovely man has spent all day doing techie things to make sure wifi and TV are all working. Bacon rolls helped him along!
For those who are undergoing ops, Jackie and Molly, I hope all goes well for you both over the next few days. My thoughts are with you.
Seems a lot of people have end of term fever, I remember the days with something akin to horror do hope you all enjoy the respite!
We may have to resort to takeaway food tonight.0
