The Petas appeal service by a PPC

Looking at this from the perspective of the "bigger picture" it seems to me that the fact that a PPC has set up a service that, in effect, rubbishes their own industry is as clear an indication that it is utterly baseless as one could wish for. In effect it is the first really obvious evidence of the "rats" turning on themselves unless, like me, you viewed the formation of the IPC as the first signs of that. Isn't that to be welcomed?
In terms of assessing their knowledge of the arguments developed on the forums let's be honest, spend a few days here and on PPP and you'd build up as detailed an understanding as you'd need to deal with POPLA after all its not rocket science. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Are they offering the service to everyone that they ticket?0

It might be a bit more persuasive if it weren't so appallingly unprofessional.
The website is a disgrace and anyone associated with it should hang their heads in shame at allowing such a piece of junk out in daylight hours. 7 months? I could've done better than that in 1 hour.
Nominet is already on the case regarding the improper domain registration.
Honestly, anyone handing personal information and money over to such a Mickey Mouse operation needs their head examining. In its ineptitude and wrong-headedness it's got PPC-world written all over it.
I'm very surprised at both Pranky and Nev Metson, in my opinion this shambles will do their reputations as PPC-fighters a great deal of harm and thus weaken the cause as a whole.
I would offer my professional services to them to get the job done properly but frankly I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than do anything that benefits a PPC.Je suis Charlie.0 -
If the charge is only ten pounds then I'm unable to see where the profit is.
A computer will have to churn out a template appeal for a cost of under £10.00.
With all the other overheads of a typical Private Parking Company this is likely to come to about £100.00. The PPCs regularly claim at POPLA that this is a real figure representing the cost of dealing with a case.
Oh hang on, what was that acronym I was thinking of? I remember. GPEOL. What does that mean? Genuine...Je suis Charlie0 -
I couldn't have summed it up better than what Bazster has said above. The website is not even finished, and it launches today?? What an utter joke, it looks like a Wordpress site and a £20 template bought off the net.
That besides, how can anyone trust a ppc to be honest and ethical? What about the use of data? Is this registered with ICO ? What about guarantees, what are they ? If you are a customer of theirs, how can you tell they are dealing with this ?
This whole thing is misguided as there is a huge conflict of interest, when people find out this is run by a ppc that cannot be impartial they will stay away from them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

If a load of villains knock on your door offering to protect you from those nasty 'other' villains then it's called a protection racket. How is this any different?0

I have just looked at the new wesite, (launched today)
Today sees the launch of our brand new one of a kind appeals service for parking tickets on private land launched.
If this is indicative of their attention to detail, I do not think that I shall be troubling them. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I like this bit.

Is this not a perfect opportunity for PPC's to issue even more tickets .... Knowing they could get even more money (from the £10-16 appeals services which they will no doubt all set up))The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]
POPLA: 4 [accepted: 4, rejected: 0, pending: 0]0 -

Dog eat dog! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
