I disagree, getting anxious about this will help, the more anxious the better, then the OP might have a panic attack in the interview room and demonstrate that they are unfit for work. We’ve had to remove your signature. Always so aggressive in your posts?
I think your thinking is a little awry here. You don't expect me to comment (I think lecture is a little exaggerated) on your condition, which I didn't, how could I, when I know nothing about you, yet you think it's ok to tell the OP he has nothing to worry about!!
You're presuming you know all about me you don't know whether I have or don't have a mental health condition, as well as telling the OP how they should feel.
Does it occur to you that his story or my story will not be the same as yours, even if we've "lived it for 19yrs", our experience will never be the same. If you've lived it for 19yrs I would have thought that you would have had a little more empathy for the OP. If you passed the medical with a mental health illness it does not follow that this person will, even if they have supporting evidence. If you weren't worried about it then I think you're in a minority, but it doesn't follow, he shouldn't worry either.
Back in the 90's my first experince of Atos was a fail at the medical assessment, this was despite, a Consultant's letter and prognosis, a detailed Gp letter of how I was affected and several scans and I had a condition whereby I was exempt from the All works Test. Despite sailing through every test since, I still worry. So that puts your comment "If you have the evidence then there's nothing to worry about" to bed.
As for your next comment; That is complete rubbish - not all MH issues contraindicate anxiety, I should know, I have one!
Where did I say the word contraindicate I was actually saying that most MH issues will "predicate" anxiety, I am therefore saying that anxiety is more likely to be a part of MH issues, you are suggesting that I am saying it is contraindicated which is actually the total opposite of what's said!!
You say above for me not to comment until I have experienced your situation and yet you presumed to tell the OP that they had nothing to worry about. Having a condition for 19yrs, doesn't make you an expert either, I was only working on what the OP told us about how he felt, which was that he was worried, you simply invalidated his experience and feelings, yet you don't expect me to presume to do the same to you.On eof the worst things to do to someone is deny them what they are feeling somehow making it silly ot futile. We could all say until you've lived the OP's life then none of us should comment either, making these boards completely redundant.
At the end of the day the OP came here looking for support and that's what I tried to give them, I couldn't stand by and see you brush his concerns aside.0

Fair shout. I suppose I was more concerned about their state of mind at the time of their posting as opposed to being in the actual assessment, but you're right. We're all so used to putting on a brave face we don't know when to drop it!0

I shouldn't be worrying to much, you know you can appeal if the result goes against you and many people are successful on appeal.
But when (if) you go to appeal you should go with someone experienced who can speak up for you. Someone like your local CAB or Weffare Rights.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

They tried to cancel an hour or so before the assessment, but I was already in the city so they cancelled someone else's (someone more local) instead. In the end I was the last person in and it all felt a little rushed - the person who did the test was quite eager to get home I guess. For better or worse I fell to bits, cried, shook and generally looked like hell the entire time. Still awaiting the judgement but am relieved to be past the test - I'd built it up to nightmarish proportions. Thanks for asking.0

facial expressions are under the depression "banner" my assesment doctor could physically see them, i had no idea till he said
Love to know what you mean by this. I've never heard of this before. I know people with depression have difficulty in interpreting others facial expressions but haven't heard that people with depression have certain expressions other than the obvious. Not at all sure what you were being told here.0

I'm no expert, obviously, just saying what he told me.0

Both my parents suffer from some level of depression and both are medicated. Dad from the CMHTOP and mum via her GP. Neither see it as a reason on it's own to say that they are 'disabled' by it. I get depressed quite often, especially when trying to sort out their benefits with the DWP! Isn't depression whilst a genuine illness, just something that we all suffer from at one time or another simply because of the way we are made?0

I agree, i don't class it as a disability, just when it all get to much.0
