    Yes - it won't update MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) virus definitions.

    This is Windows updates. Have you disabled Automatic Updates?

    Just for info, MSE virus definitions are still available. There have been some today, 09/04. The fact that the MSE logo has gone red, with a cross on it, doesn't mean its not still running (and updating).

    I had updates this morning on my PC and when I Rebooted my Broadband went down.:eek: I thought it was Microsoft sending a final fix/bug/trojan to help persuade us to Upgrade our systems

    :)Not true, it was a Virgin Media fault!

    Press and hold the Flying Windows key and whilst holding it down, press the Pause Break key.
