Can anyone answer this question please:

Assuming you go down the normal route of applying (ie: non-priority) - and send off your tokens and your cheque - How long can you reasonably expect to hear the "result"? (I Know in the t&c it states 29th Aug) - but generally, what is the expected timeframe - also, when would they cash your cheque in relation to this (ie: if my chq was cashed today, could I reasonably expect to get a letter within 14 days?).

It seems very difficult if you were to get a 7th Sept holiday - to only get it confirmed on 29 Aug?? - esp if you need to book trains/planes/automobiles!!!

I applied last time around and due to the dates / sites I chose was unsuccessful.

By the date they gave for confirmation I had an email and letter offering me more dates / sites and was told that if I hadn't booked one of the alternatives then my payment would be returned in another 14 days time.

I never re-booked and my original cheque ( check your statement , if your cheque's been banked it probably means your booking is ok ) was returned to me just after two weeks later.

with me ( when i applied via "normal" booking form) its been about 2 weeks between cheque being banked, to getting the letter stating ive been successful

longest 2 weeks ever :rolleyes: :rotfl:

But my initial question would be "when is your chq likely to be cashed"?

Do they wait until the final date before processing (even though they state they process by receipt date) - or are they processing now as we speak even though the last token was printed today?

Absolute shot in the dark here but i just went to send of our holiday form and it seems some one (my ever so lovely OH) threw out one of the vouchers and now we only have 6 and we need 7. If any one has a spare one i would be willing to pay someting for it!

My in-laws very kindly collected the first week's Tokens for me, (1-5 inc.) but thought that I didn't need any more.
Does anyone know from past experience, if they print any extra tokens after today (20th) ? I only realised this when we went to collect them today & found they'd thrown their papers from this week, away. If I'd known, I'd have bought the papers myself (see, I'm not entirely mean) but now its too late, even for today's.

Don't know if anyone has yet given you a token??? If not, I have a token which was attached to my priority booking form, which I can give to you. However the terms are that it is to be used for first time bookers only, and cannot be used with a priority booking form. If its any good for you, please pm me with your name and address. I'll get it in the post asap. No charge :beer:
