Is it possible to only do a transfer in from another provider without adding any new 2014-15 2014-15 ISA allowance?

Yes this was my experience too.... very impressed with DotComUnity. Customer service seems excellent and they still have that feeling of a personal service, which disappeared from banks years ago.

Admittedly the website is not the clearest in the world, but in my opinion the good interest rate and good customer service makes up for it.

Agree about the personal service, their customers advisers both via e-mail and telephone have been good. Also very impressed by their confirmation letter following a deposit in which they say, "Receipt of you cheque which is gratefully received" Captain Manering is alive and well!

Any one else having problems trying to log in to account, is the server down?

NB Just checked www.isitdownrightnow.com and confirmed server is down.

Hope this is just temporary for this "new kid on the block", just after I have opened an ISA with them.

Query for ROB. Dotcomunity official rep.

Whilst access to the web site is available, the server has been down since Saturday morning and I can not log in to my account.to check if my balance has been updated. Not as good service as I had previously thought.

Web site quoted in my previous post still showing server down so it does not look like problem is with my computer.

I reckon that this is a pretty small outfit and so it's likely that they wont have dozens of techies working 24/7 to fix servaer faults. Wait until tomorrow morning and see if it comes back online. They may not staff the thing at weekends and are probably unaware that it's down.

There's probably not a lot DCU can do about the server being down anyway as the secure online banking stuff is hosted by Kesho (the people who provide the software used by most credit unions). I haven't checked but I expect other credit unions will be having problems with their online services at the moment too.

Kesho's software demo site, which is on the same server, is also down.
