Anyone ever managed to get their mobile contract cancelled without penalty?

I joined Three in January on a monthly sim only deal for the One Plan. I stupidly upgraded it a month later to a 12 month version.

Call quality is fine but data speeds are horrendous. So much so that browsing on the net becomes unusable at certain times.

I know legally they can hold me in to this contract if they so wish as they never promised a certain speed to me, but has anyone else been through the complaints procedure with their mobile phone provider and have the contract cancelled without penalty?

I have (on 3 occasions, once all the way to CISAS). However I would never even try it on with such a spurious excuse as "'my data speeds are too slow".

Where are you that your speed is so poor you can't even browse the internet?

I'm curious why you were happy with the first month but not now. Have you moved?

I'm in Yorkshire as you can see from my location :)

I stupidly changed to 12 months when 3 were due to put up prices for their one plan and I thought it would guarantee the cheaper price if I went on 12 months contract.
