Good restaurants in N.I.

Ate in the Wallace, Lisburn, this evening. Being a bacon egg and chips guy, I tend not to go for upmarket food, but the very friendly and helpful staff tailored the beef dish for me. I have never had beef so tasty or well cooked, it was superb. Not cheap, but not horrendously priced either. Lovely surroundings as well. No hesitation in recommending.0

since being mentioned on the crap thread .....
ill cast a vote for wetherspoons bridge house , in particular the chicken and rib tuesday.
£7 for a decent feed and a pint!
then over to the tuesday £3 cinema , great night for a tenner each.
ive been very impressed with wetherspoons recently , having not been in many years i find the clientele agreeable and the food more than acceptable.
well worth a visit if you havent been in years.
still lacking on many points bit for a cheap drink its hard to beat.
also for the single parent , spurs on a friday night is free kids , works out cheaper than mc donalds. 2 free kids meals for each adult.0 -
The Thatch in Broughshane does lovely pub grub. Been for lunch a few times. Also Sozo in Whiteabbey does a very good breakfast as well as an excellent evening meal0

And a new one for me:
the Scullery at Scrabo Golf Club.
Decent food and a great location overlooking Strangford Lough.
Couldn't fault the food. They even make decent coffee (which is sadly a rare thing).0 -
Tried Flame in Tuesday and really enjoyed it.
I so a great deal of eating out, but the fast majority of it is at an awesome Indian restaurant on the Woodstock Road in East Belfast, called 'Shimla.' We have tried numerous other Indians, but this one really is the best. Doesn't look like a great deal from the outside, but it truly is fantastic !! They do an unreal Early Bird menu and it is B.Y.O. Class !!! :beer:0 -
Went into Spur at Victoria Square over the weekend and thought it was reasonably good and would not hesitate in giving it a solid 2/5.
Charged twice on the drinks, seated in a drafty area and some weak customer service skills. Portions were small, we had the ask for seconds and I'm not a fan of employees being covered with visible sleeve tattoos.
The food however was reasonably good and it was a pleasant way to spend an hour or so.0 -
Portrush - Jackman & Pye. I've always enjoyed eating there. Quality food, nice atmosphere.
Portrush - The Ramore complex of restaurants. Good interesting food, good value.
Holywood - The Dirty Duck has also been v good any time I've eaten there and they do a nice range of ales.0 -
