tried to set up the laptop for my mate .......ethernet controller is showing yellow in device manager ... brought the the vista drivers and utilities disc and tried to update drivers from disc and computer.... when you click on details of driver ...all unknown.....only need to insert laptop wirelessly
into his existing network....when i try to get on net cant find devices

LiteOn Atheros WLAN Driver

In addition, once the Driver has been installed, you will either have to install the FSC Launch Manager in order toggle the Wireless connection to ON or you will need to go into the BIOS Setup and set the Wireless connection default to ON.

didnt think of checking the bios.......downloaded on to disc something called ftsdeskupdate.exe.... although official the recovery discs are 7 year old.....will download the links you have found to another disc....thanks
