I'm one of these poor customers and ordered a supposedly top of the range Linda Barker handle less kitchen. We ordered it in January and we are have had many problems so far. The worst of which was not all of the panels weren't fitted so the kitchen work top template was incorrect and the work top company had to remake the work top which meant we were left without a work top and a sink for over a month. This was not easy with a baby in the house.

The quality of ever single door front, draw front, side panel and every other panel in between is shocking. Where the fitter has had to cut the side panels to size the are all chipped along the cut. Where it is a grey kitchen this means you. Can see white chips all the way up.

Every door and draw is either scratched, chipped, can see the white primer, has paint runs or has a dimpled finish to it. Wren had agreed to get everything replaced however we are now heading in to June and still now sign of the replacements.

Every time wall call Wren they take our number and promise to call back but don't.

I am so sick of the excuses. All we know is they have manufacturing problems and can't tell us when any of it will be available even though we had been promised that it would be finished by the end of May.

We are inking we are going to have to get solicitors to get this finished or to get enough back to pay for another company to finish the job.

My in laws ordered a kitchen a couple of weeks later and they too are having problems.

Please please do not get sucked in to the design process or the show room models. It is a nightmare waiting to happen if you go with Wren and this handle less range.

    You have been warned!

You can possibly avoid solicitors by starting your own court proceedings. First you write to Wren with a 'letter before action' giving them x days to resolve the problems before starting court proceedings. Proceedings are through money claim online, get quotes from local kitchen fitters to get the job completed to the quoted/paid spec, and this is what you claim for, plus court costs and any other direct costs (phone calls, quote costs, etc). You provide the court with a package of evidence and Wren would either defend the case (sounds tricky against your evidence) or a judgement will be issued in default, at which point you can instruct bailiffs or sheriffs to recover the value of the judgement.

It sounds a little scary, but is actually meant to be quite simple for people to do themselves and avoid high solicitor fees (which you likely wouldn't get back if you used one and win anyway).

I'm still suspicious of your agenda in posting as you have.

Why the hell would you be suspicious???

They're doing you a favour for Christ's sake. Saving you and others from falling into the trap of losing hard earned money and lots of hassle.

It's a bitter employee, nothing more, this will and should be removed as it's potentially libellous.

I'd strongly suggest you look at all the many dissatisfied Wren postings before you make such a stupid remark.

Haha just seen your signature.... maybe take a little of your own advice.....if you have nothing constructive to say, why say it?
  • I to made the big mistake of purchasing a Wren kitchen. First delivery was Feb 2014, I am still waiting for missing items. They delivered some items yesterday and out of 5 items 4 were sent back. I have had nothing but 9 months of hell.
  • I have had 9 months of various items delivered and it's still not right. So now I need to wait until next year to get yet another miserable attempt of getting some sub standard items. Realistically Wren would fight anyone in court and would this not be a long and complicated process? I am so frustrated I'm at the point of giving up as I just don't have the will to fight anymore, it can not be healthy.
