02 not dealing with spam

hi
i was looking to find out how folks on here have dealt with spam texts etc via 02 , i recieved an adult related text a while ago so i forwarded it straight away to the 02 spam service , they confirmed it had been blocked but i kept getting them , i called 02 (not wanting to contact the sender) and they said just reply stop to them which i did this brought on even more spam , after contacting 02 again they said they had blocked them ,and to be fair i've not recieved any for several months, however when i finnaly checked my on line bank stament i've been charged an additional £25 pounds per month, when questioning this it appears that although i get no texts i'm subsrirbed to 2 premium services, i've never signed up to these or even visited the sites, 02 confirmed they have blocked the numbers they can't stop them charging my account , phonepayplus can't help either as they say my operator needs to act and 02 won't let me out of my contract .
simple fact is i can't just keep paying another £25 per month on my contract having lost my job things are tight , i know i should have been more careful with checking in the past but i need to know how i can move forward now .
any suggestions as to how to stop this would be very helpful
thanks
gary

Record a formal complains at PhonePay Plus then forward that reference no to O2.

    http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/For-the-Public/Make-a-complaint.aspx

There is no magic answer to spam reverse charge texts, and you do need to be sure you haven't subscribed when the company was a different name, or offering other services.

Ultimately Phonepay plus are supposed to act on your behalf to prevent this but they will direct you to O2 to try and resolve it through o2's complain process before they will help.

All that O2 can do is to block all premium content on your account and to give you the details of the companies that have already sent you the texts. Then you have to claim money back from the companies and complain to phonepayplus if they refuse.

thanks for the replies , i am 100% certain i've not subsribed to anything , well not knowingly anyway but i have been told that just by replying ,even if it is "STOP" they can add you to their lists , which seems what has happened , i will raise an official complaint as i dont want to end up owing money for something behond my control
    thanks

Never reply. Texting 'STOP' works with legit companies, but with these scammers it just confirms that it's an active number, and so they will sell it on again and so your spam will increase.
