Thanks everyone for the good wishes - haven't had time to get used to it yet!! I will apply for the roll of honour so watch out for the symbol appearing soon....re how much was the debt...weeell I had to go back to the snowball calculator to find this out...are you ready for this because it frightened me :

Truly inspirational Sashanut:) Would love to know how you did all that.......the mechanics of paying back a huge amount over 8 years. What did you change/give up/cut back on? What did you save on most? Did you make extra from anywhere? Budget tips?Hints and tips on how to deal with the lows and what kept you going?

    OK too many questions................:D
    Huge congratulations

    £15,708
  • Sashanut that is absolutely amazing!!!

Having ended up in a ruddy great financial hole due to a bad house buy, I have been feeling that I'll be dead before its paid off, but the ammount you have paid off is incredible.
You are an inspriation, and thanks for sharing how much it was, I now feel my ammount is do-able after all :j

Although my PAD today is just a paltry 55p I know I'm heading, all be it slowly, in the right direction.

    Hi all :j

Many thanks for all the lovely messages & congratulations - I'm quite overwhelmed by it all. I do wish I could say there was a magic formula to clearing the debt that I could impart - but I will have a think what helped us the most. I was really shocked at how much it was myself, had blotted out the actual amount as it was so scary..

Popping in to PAD £10 to mortgage saving plz TTFTM - tkyou!!
