Then this bring up credit blacklisting which this sites suggest is a myth (something I really wanted to believe) I do not think it was marketing reasons as they made it point blank clear that I would not get anything other the most basic bank account till 2024 at the best it suggest that they keep a copy of your credit file at the worst ie 2007 and base there decision on that
The myth of blacklisting is an external list which is shared amoungst banks/ credit providers.
Banks can have internal lists of customers they wont deal with but that cannot be shared outside of their group of businesses directly. Of cause they can load defaults to the CRAs, fraud to CIFAS and CCJs go on the CRA file too but then its up to other providers to make their own decisions0 -
The point was I never did with then kept saveings and banking seperate to credit cards I banked over 30 years with them got downgrade but told it would in prove again I just wish they had been honest and said we do not want your business they told me people in branch un aware of my situation I now feel that all this (credit 6 years ) is a myth they kept it on serect list (crazy I know but how else do they know default dates settlements that's not theres)0

That's surely their prerogative, though.
They are under no obligation to deal with someone who they don't wish to deal with, and that can be forever if they choose.
Personally, if I were running a business, I'd not imagine that it was a terrible business decision to ban for life anyone who'd reneged on a debt with me.
I'm with this. My experience so far of people who cheat you in business is that they never reform. Character is not something that changes day to day, though it can change over years, but why take the risk? I'm not running a company any more but the rule served we well - cheat me once, shame on you. Cheat me twice, shame on me...0 -

OK, sorry if I'd misunderstood, but I thought you'd had late or missed payments which is what I was referring to.
If you've not got these, then what are you worried that the bank has recorded against your name?0 -
I came to this site for advice but got judged by people who are in a far better place and looking down on you can only paint a black picture of you thank you for proving it0
