    Hello XXXX
We tend not to support lost hope causes which are a drain on time and
resources with little to no chance of success. Good luck though. There are
numerous existing petitions, wouldn't you be better adding some numbers to
    those instead?
    regards,

The owner of Iluvmy dog who wrote that is feeling less cocky now that he's getting LOTS of emails and phone calls.
Please can nobody confuse Ilovemydog, who are backing the ban, with the atrocious company ILUVMYDOG who is selling these barbaric collars.

I heard amazon was removing all pinch and prong collars off listings now.

    Yahoo!
  • No excuses, a prong collar is not necessary. We have all managed to train our dogs with positive/reward methods, why suddenly bring in fear/pain training? And shouldn't training your dog with treats and rewards be a big part of the enjoyment of having a pet? This should be a lovely period of time, the stage when you and your dog get to know eachother and feel a sense of accomplishment when you make progress together. Anyone who would rather cut out this important stage and train a dog with pain should not have a dog.

I agree. I was having trouble teaching my pup to walk on a loose lead and I went to a training school. The teacher told me I should not have him on a harness but a choke chain! I walked out and never went back.

With patience, perseverance, love and lots of treats I taught him and he walks really lovely now (I even get strangers sometimes comment how well he walks on lead).

I don't even like to see ordinary collars on dogs that pull as I have read that their throats can be damaged and that is one of the reasons I used a harness and still do just in case he ever sees a cat and forgets not to pull!
The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie
