good evening everyone
don't know if this is the right place to ask
i had job done by the builder, and the quote said supply a skip.
yesterday, i was told by the lorry driver said he will not move the skip without the £200.00
my question is who should pay the 200 pounds? me or builder?
the builder not answering my phone call nor text msg.
thank you guys

If it was agreed that you were supplying the skip then......you.
But what you describe is not very clear.0 -
When we had work done we paid for the skip .Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

the quote said the builder willl supply the skip
thank you pollypenny, it now makes me thinking i should pay the skip
btw, is your quote before the work done also mentioned the builder (company) will supply the skip??
cheers0 -
If the builder is not answering your calls or replying to texts then it would appear he's avoiding you. Why do you think that might be?Pants0

Who ordered the skip and has the 'contract' with the skip company?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0

i don't know
at first i trusted what the builder said, skip company's fault, lorry broke down etc, but, the skip has been on my drive for more than 3 weeks since he done the job.
then i called the skip company directly, knowing this situation.
i really want to know, in most cases, to supply a skip stated in the quote, is that just meaning help me to arrange a skip and cost is on me?
cheers0 -
No. 'Skip supplied' in the quote means that it's included and to be paid for by the builder. The opposite would be 'customer to supply skip' Impossible to say which this is without knowing the exact wording.
If you still owe the builder money, then pay the skip co. and deduct it.
If not, then it was a bad move to pay the builder the balance before the skip was removed. Usually after a month further payments will be due on it.
Every skip I've ever ordered has had to be paid for on delivery though. No free lunch, and no free laptop

oh dear.
if there is a chance of more charges for the skip, I'd pay it now, then try and pursue the builder.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0
