Carphone Warehouse - proof of postage - can you help?

Hello,

I sent back a cashback claim in June, but Royal Mail is saying the electronic proof of delivery isn't available but they also claim to have delivered the item - Carphone Warehouse says they haven't got it and refuse to help me further without proof.

I'm wondering if somebody can help me avoid all the fuss, if they sent in a cashback claim in June (after the 5th of June) that was received succesfully, that I could borrow their proof of postage, because they won't accept mine and both companies are fobbing off liability to the other

Anybody willing to help? Cheers :)

CPW never sign for proof of postage as they get too many. Your best bet if they say they haven't got your claim is to get them to allow you to send/fax it over again (if still within 60 days and you have a copy of bill then should be no problem at all) even if outside 60 days they may still let you.
  • I just found out last night while in the Carphone in the Trafford Centre that you can take your bill into store and they will either fax / post off your bill for you! And if you can get them to make a note on your computer record then they have proof that you did give it in to them, plus you save on postage :T

That sounds like a good bet for cpw cashbacks.

I agree - and I used to do that, but my local store says the policy has changed and they're no longer allowed to do that... So I had to go back to sending them.

Have you got a copy to send in? If your past your 60 days send a copy of your recorded delivery slip in with it as proof you posted it on time, they may then help you
