From June 1st it will now be, at long long long last!!, legal for you to rip a copy of any music, films, and even e-books that you’ve already bought.

You have always had the right to make a "backup copy" of any software you bought, but not when it comes to Entertainment media like movies or music!
Also for the first time a "Fair Use" exception to UK copyright law has been created, for the purposes of review / critiquing.
