We'll kinda lost count at the moment, it's been a tough few weeks, big changes at work and a funeral this week so really not been focused on this challenge this month. In fact motivation for most things seems to have gone AWOL :(

I'm having a quiet day in today and can safely say there'll be no spending going on, so that makes NSD #7 for me.

NSD #12 today :D I forgot my purse so will have to do without garlic bread!!

Make your own substitute for garlic bread using whatever you have in stock - even sliced white bread, toasted, and spread with butter flavoured with chopped garlic or garlic powder can turn out edible - experiment! Who says avoiding spending means deprivation?

In fact, if you have a breadmaker, or even if you don't, you can make a batch of bread dough and mix into it bits of garlic or garlic powder, then the finished bread can be sliced and drizzled with a bit of oil or melted butter and the slices put under a grill for a minute or so or into an oven (whilst it is already on cooking your main meal, of course!) for about 10 minutes or so.....watch those vampires run like hell!

I'm feeling ashamed to show my face around here after my recent spending antics.

Yesterday turned into a spendy day,but I stocked up on lots of food items that will keep me going for quite a while (mainly dried fruit and nuts, bread flour, fruit etc).

Hopefully I'll be good today and get an nsd. There's no reason for me to be spending anyway.

    Happy Easter Friday everyone!

Hold the whips, chains, furry handcuffs and mouldy kippers, Igor - look at marmite's list of what she's stocked up on - remember you speculate to accumulate, and the ingredients purchased will prevent unnecessary expenditure on ready-made cakey things......so a bit of excess spending can be forgiven in this case. (Yes, I know you are dying to try out the new ACME extra-strength chains with added barbed wire, but marmite is not the one to try them on......keep looking for a victim and you will find them......oh, Huuuuuuuuuubbbeeerrrrrrrtttt! There's a good little donkey, come and see your Uncle Igor, he's got a lovely little surprise for you....)

kerri - sometimes motivation teams up with mojo and they elope together into the sunset .....I had a "cannot be arrised" phase about work yesterday, probably because I went back after some time off on leave and had got into the "potter around at home and chill out" mode. I am still trying to find the balance between being a dedicated, motivated worker and remain chilled and focussed on the more important things in life. And the same applies to frugality and moneysaving - some days we are motivated, some not. And other stuff and people and issues sometimes get in the way. Remember the old mantra "this soon will pass." Do your best and celebrate each NSD you do manage to achieve this month.

And run like hell, because I think a dodgy group hug is coming your way.....with Igor and Hubert in the middle of it......

    I totally agree with this.

    So I managed #10 today,phew!

I've not been out today, not even dressed.I've done some pottering about and have ironed and put away the washing, defrosted and cleaned the fridge-freezer.

I swear, that's the last time,Igor, that I let you store your manky kipper, spring wabbit and sprouts curry surprise Easter medley in my freezer!!!!!!!I'll never get the smell out now. What's wrong with the usual chamber pot under the bed storage-system,hhhmmmm?Don't listen to those that tell you it's not hygienic-they're just jealous of your cooking prowess. And get your mucky paws off of my plums, thank you very much!!!

Now scurrying off to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors before it gets dark.I do know how to enjoy myself.
