G24 Parking charge notice @ Meadowhall Retail Park

I took my 90 year old mum shopping at the new "The Range" shop and we had morning coffee, lunch and a lot of slow shopping as I pushed her in her wheelchair, we spend in excess of £60.
I have now received through the post a £50 PCN, I have shopped at this complex on may occasions but not for as long a period and have never noticed any signage.
I have found the letter on this site and will be emailing to them, I have tried to do this today but their web site will not accept CPCN number, do you know how long it takes before I am in the system.
I have also contact The Range and asked that they put something in their shop doorway to advise other people as I am sure a lot of other people will be stopping longer now they are there with a restaurant/coffee shop.
Thanks for any advice

    Hi again just caring,
What web site are you trying to use?
    post up the name leaving spaces e.g. w w w . etc

You could also send your appeal by post - take it to the post office and get a certificate of posting - Do NOT used signed for or registered mail - they have been known to refuse to sign for them and then there is proof they didn't receive it - whereas a letter sent 1st class with proof of posting is legally deemed to have arrived within 2 working days

Don't contact them until you have read and fully understood the thread at the top of the page. It is a scam which you cannot ignore - but you can deal with taking advice from here.

Works every time ( after you've received the NtK ) :

    Dear G24,

This is an appeal against the charge issued to the vehicle with the registration XXXXXX, charge reference XXXX.

It is the registered keepers assertion that :

    1. The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
    2. That the signage does not conform to the BPA CoP to which G24 has committed.
    3. That G24 has no authority to issue charges over the land in question.

As such the charge is rejected. You should now either cancel said charge or provide a POPLA code for the registered keeper to appeal to the independent adjudicator.

Any further correspondence other than confirmation of cancellation or a POPLA code will be considered harassment and could result in legal action being taken against you.

    Yours,

    Print name ( don't sign ).

    Hi again ColliesCarer,

    The web address is w w w . a p p e a l y o u r c h a r g e . c o . u k
Its is on the back of their letter.

    Hi Hotbring,

The letter you have posted (thank you) is a lot shorter than the one in the information at the top of the page, which is best to send.

    Thanks all for your advice

Your choice. My experience with G24 is that something short and sharp works much better ( that's not to do down Coupon Mad's brilliant letter in the Newbies thread though ).

Six G24 cancelled so far with my letter :D

Yes that's the correct web site.

I take it you decided to use the 1st appeal template letter in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread rather than the version Carthesis drafted? Either that or HOT Bring's shorter version will be fine.

Personally I'd give up trying their on-line appeal system and just send it by post (with cert. of posting) including a photocopy of the PCN just in case they have not given you a correct CPCN number.

EDIT - Could also just include a short covering letter saying something like "I have tried to submit the enclosed appeal via your web site but for some reason it would not accept the CPCN number you have supplied on the enclosed CPCN."

    Dear Hot Bring,

You can update your success rate for the short version letter, I sent it on Monday and received a reply today (Thursday) waiving the charge.

Thank you for everyone's help and advice :)
